3. Applicable Law

This Privacy Policy is governed by the revised Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP), which came into force on 1 September 2023, together with the associated Data Protection Ordinance (DPO).

 

Where individuals based in the European Economic Area (EEA) are affected by our data processing, the GDPR applies in addition. As Airport Fitness und Wellness AG operates at Zurich Airport and regularly processes data of travellers - including EEA residents - both frameworks are relevant to our operations.

5. Health and Training Information

In connection with certain services, particularly personal training, EMS training, massages or health-related consultations, we may process information about your health, physical limitations, training goals or other information relevant to the safe and professional provision of the respective service.

We process such information only to the extent necessary to provide the service, where you voluntarily provide the information to us or where you have given the relevant consent.

 

6. How Long We Keep Your Data

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary for the relevant purpose, or as required by law.

 

Typical retention periods are:

  • contract, booking and payment records: generally 10 years;

  • contact enquiries not resulting in a contract: generally 2 to 3 years;

  • newsletter data: until you unsubscribe or withdraw your consent;

  • server log files: generally 7 to 30 days;

  • records of consent: for as long as proof may be required.

 

7. Website Hosting by Wix

Our website is hosted by Wix.com Ltd., 40 Namal Tel Aviv St., Tel Aviv 6350671, Israel. Wix provides hosting, technical infrastructure, security features, forms, and storage. In this context, technical usage data, IP addresses, device information, communication data and form submissions may be processed. Our website may use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

We use the Meta Pixel, provided by Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, 4 Grand Canal Square, Dublin 2, Ireland. The Meta Pixel allows us to track visitor behaviour on our website and measure the effectiveness of our advertising on Facebook and Instagram.

15. Google Maps

We use Google Maps (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland) to display interactive maps and help you find us. When you use the map feature, data - including your IP address and location - may be transmitted to Google servers in the US. This is done on the basis of Standard Contractual Clauses and only after you have given your consent.

 

16. Google Fonts

Our website contains links to our profiles on Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and YouTube. Simply visiting our website does not automatically transmit data to these platforms.

Data is only transmitted if you actively click on a link and visit the respective platform. The platform operator is responsible for the data processing that takes place there. Please refer to the privacy policy of the respective provider.

 

17. Social Media

Our website contains links to our profiles on Instagram and LinkedIn. Simply visiting our website does not send any data to these platforms. Data is only shared when you actively click on a link and visit the relevant platform - at which point that platform's own privacy policy applies.

 

18. Membership and Booking Management (sysTeam / Clubkonzepte)

We use the sysTeam / Clubkonzepte platform to manage memberships and process selected bookings.

In connection with a booking or membership, personal data such as your name, contact details, contract data, appointment and booking information and payment information may be processed. The data is processed for pre-contractual measures and for the performance of a contract.

 

19. Massage and Wellness Bookings (Treatwell)

Massage and wellness services may also be booked through Treatwell. Treatwell generally acts as an independent data controller for data processing carried out through its own platform.

If you book a service with us via Treatwell, we receive the information required to provide the service, in particular your name, contact details, booked service and appointment details.

The use of the Treatwell platform is also subject to Treatwell’s own privacy policy.

 

20. Payment Processing

We use payment service provider Wordline to process payments. Personal data is processed only to the extent necessary to complete and document the payment.

Where online payments are processed through Worldline or other payment service providers, the privacy policies of the respective payment service providers also apply.

21. Contractual Services

In connection with memberships, personal training, EMS training, wellness services, massages, classes, voucher orders and other services, we process the personal data necessary to prepare, provide and process the respective service.

Depending on the service, this may include your name, address, date of birth, contact details, booked services, contract data, payment information, appointment details and, where applicable, health-related or training-related information.

 

22. International Data Transfers

Some of our service providers may process personal data outside Switzerland or the European Economic Area, in particular in the United States.

Data transfers to countries without an adequate level of data protection only take place where appropriate safeguards exist or where a statutory exception applies. These safeguards may include:
